October in NH?

I’m sitting at home in New Mexico, just back from 6 days visiting my brother in Concord. The trip was family business, and my fly gear stayed behind. But, the water.... Wow, wow, and wow.

I’m thinking of returning for the legendary autumn up there; the leaves for my wife and the trout for me. How are water conditions during that time of the season?

October is one of my favorite times here.
Be aware, though, that most places close October 15. Some don’t, but most do. Some even close October 1, so check the regs.
Water conditions depend almost entirely on the amount of recent rain. There’s no snow melt happening, so it’s all rainfall.
