Today I was out on the East Branch of the Croton in Brewster N.Y. with my new Cortland Competition 106 3wt. Im just starting with euro nymphing and as luck would have it there was someone there to watch and learn from.

This gentleman then offered his expertise and literally spent about an hour explaining things, retying my leader for me, giving me casting lessons; and even netting a nice 14 brown I caught with his guidance.

I didnt get his last name, but a big thanks to Jeff from Long Island for helping a brother out. I hope to repay the favor some day, or at the very least pay it forward.

Thanks again Jeff!
