I bought a pair of Simms Guide Boots with the Vibram soles awhile back. I used them for the first time yesterday fishing Elk Creek in PA. I had my doubts about how they would be on a shale bottom stream. I can now tell you all my doubts about them are gone...I haven't put the studs in them yet, but do plan on it for the colder weather. If anyone is thinking about getting a pair go for it, they are great.
