I replaced one of the nylon ghost bags. I wasn't a nightmare. I used backing and a large sewing needle. Just pay attention to where the old line begins and follow the same pattern when you redo it. Its not a big deal.

So you all have me looking at the Brodin website

That Platinum series is sure nice looking. Wonder if its worth the extra $80 just to know none of my fish reach that 19" Mother of Pearl mark

I have a clamshell mark at the 8" mark for all of my "trophies" maybe one day I'll get to use the mother of pearl mark.

    New fisherman here.

I am also in need of a net and would prefer something much less than $100. I looked at that Cabela's for $20 but is that one just a complete waste of money? Does anyone have a small back up net they are willing to get rid of? It will be used for small trout so I don't need anything large.

    Thanks

The Brodin net I purchased was only 60$, not a whole lot of money.

As for the cabelas net I have no experience but I'm sure it would be serviceable for a year or two
