    Default Which sunglass retainer?

I finally paid some big bucks for quality prescription sunglasses (Smith Optics Chromapop). I wore them to the river yesterday with a Chum wire retainer. They while taking the off to tie on a fly, they fell off-twice! I think my sling pack strap is grabbing the cable and pulling it off the bow.

The second time I had to dip down before the glasses got lost in the muddy river bottom. That was a cold bike ride home!

At this point, I'm thinking of switching to some kind of floating retainer. Anyone have preferences or recommendations? I also wear a baseball cap for sun protection (and - I'll admit it - flip down magnifiers), so I don't want interference with the hat band.

    Here's several ideas: http://www.amazon.com/s/?ie=UTF8&key...sl_qzhlorr5v_e

I was surprised at how cheap they are.

I usually just take mine off and stick 'em on top of my hat. Can't flip my head around too quick, but then again I can't do that anyway.

The other day I saw some company has designed visors with sleeves on both sides that the arms slide into to help keep your glasses from flying off during such incidents. Unfortunately shaved heads and visors don't go together well.

Thank you! Just put up a small intro. BTW nice think about fly line is you can make it long enough to fit over the bill on a ball cap. Most of the store bought will not fit!
