We have a cruise scheduled mid-June 2019 and I'm looking at places I can wet a line. I have some fly gear and also maybe bring a travel spinning setup too. I'm not looking for anything super serious since we only have a day in Tortola and a day in St Thomas but might be open to hiring a guide if anyone thinks it's worth it or knows someone who can get me into some fish (C&R of course). I've heard things about Magens Bay (and seen videos on youtube) but I'd imagine it gets very crowded there with a cruise ship in town? Anyway, I'm not looking for anything involving going out on a skiff/boat but might be open to a kayak rental. Otherwise, I'm fine fishing from shore or off the rocks.
Just looking for something low-key. Magens might be ideal because my kids would enjoy playing on the beach and I could go off to fish for a bit if there are secluded spots I could venture off to on the side.
Any advice would be appreciated!
