Ashland, OR Area

Hey folks, starting a road trip tomorrow morning with my lady for her birthday. Our first night will be in Ashland, and I think I am going to be able to sneak off to catch the golden hour.

Not trying to chase any monsters, but would love a chance to get an hour or two of dusk fishing in. Anybody willing to share tips on where I can wet a line, and still make it back to Ashland in time to stay out of the dog house? Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Lived in Ashland for many years; drive a bit down the (about 1/3'rd the west side of the lake) and you'll find a large beach. Grounds solid save right at water's edge so no need to take a long walk. You'll find an inlet with heavy bush on the opposite side; some trout but mainly Bass hange out there. Off the point, in deeper water is where you'll find the trout.

There are other foot access points but all are very obvious. One place that's tight to fish is the feeder stream at the south end of the lake.
