Last I checked there were right at a dozen forrest fires going in northern Oregon/Southern Oregon. And that doesn't include the HUGE one we've got going a few miles from my house in So/Or.
I was there this weekend at the mouth. A horrible event for sure. Much of the sage brush is gone through the canyon. Some of the vegetation directly along the river was spared. But it looks bleak.
There were two tragic fatalities.... someone trying to dig a fire ring when his tractor exploded another, a homeless man in a camp by the river.
