Redding area suggestions

Rescheduled a trip to end of April with one day guided on the lower Sac.

Anyone with suggestions on where I can wade fish in the Redding area for another 1.5 days would be greatly appreciated. I will have a vehicle.

Appreciate any help you can give.

How late in April?

In that area prior to April 27th (opening day) it is basically Pit River below Lake Britton, Upper Sacramento River above Lake Shasta, Lower Sacramento River below Lake Shasta and the lower Trinity river below Lewiston Dam. Depending on snow melt one of those the tailwaters may still be your best bet.

On and after April 27th you can add Hat Creek, McCloud River, and more.

There that weekend so thank you for the info. Any other big picture insights into those rivers/streams would be much appreciated. Thanks again for the response.

Well they will all be busy on opening weekend so don't expect too much solitude. I would recommend you check with the Fly Shop in Redding for up to date reports on all of those rivers.
