It's a locals time of year.....and big fish time of year.!

I was just there after not skiing Squaw/Alpine for 25 years. I should have thought to go fishing but did not even know the regs up there. Eastern Sierra my home waters and home ski resort don't open until last WE in April. I was looking at water as I drove from T to Alpine and that section looked very fishable. I will have to try the T in the Winter. If there are fish there I will catch them. Winter is usually Florida on the fly for me or skiing rockies. I forgot what great snow Tahoe can have. We arrived from SoCal during the last snow storm and skiing conditions were better than I ever remembered for Tahoe.

The bar isn't set by the fish we catch, but by the one's we don't.

Nice looking fish! I'm thinking of heading up in the next two weeks. What do you recommend? I tried fishing back in january but river access was tough. Went in below Boca. Not much success, but it was amazingly beautiful and peaceful on the river.

I don't visit here much, so it's better always to text or call.
2 weeks from now will be different.
Today flows are coming down but are big for normal fishers.
    We like big water.
I use an 11ft. switch rod and a lot of weight. Long leader too.
Fish like you usually do and get skunked on the T.
    Ants are flying today.
    March browns later....today.
This water is compared to Pebble beach....bring your A game.
Fish the menu, and get your best drift ever.....and rule #1....don't tell them you're coming

I take it you're a local up there? I don't know your text or #...but would perhaps like to hit the water up there to get better understanding of where to fish (the no trespass signs seem more prevalent than the rising fish!).
