    Default Sunset on the Lake

I get treated to some magical sunsets and this time of year offers some of the most striking ones.

Yes, very nice, need to post some pictures too! My wife and I been watching them every evening, low skies, low sun. My backyard has a dock on the water, and we can sit to watch.

Rainbow ring around the sun, caused by ice crystals in an unusual cloud formation.

Mid forties here this morning, but yesterday was warmish. Got another warm day or two then a cool down coming Monday.

Overall, I thought we’ve been having a nice autumn. Thankfully much drier than the last couple of years. Our first frost came mid November, a month earlier than average.

Seems like it has been a couple of days of warm weather followed by a little cool down. Not too many extremes. Good gardening and fishing weather!

Took the day off yesterday and did some fishing, on a boat and with the baitcasting rig, and we mostly had the place to ourselves. Saw eagles, Osprey, thousands of snow geese, pelicans, the works. Had some trout and redfish tug our lines. Didn’t get hot enough to sweat or cold enough to shiver, what’s not to like?

Good one, this evening. Caught 5 wood ducks flying low over the lake in the shot.
