Albright GPX?

What experience does any one have with these, especially in the larger sizes. They are on special are very attractive prices there. Putting together a lower end 10wt rig to target Jacks & some big river-gars.

get a lamson konic for that price or an allen. that reel looks nice though.

I would err away from that reel. After awhile the spool will develop a wobble. Also the drag system is very inconsistent from low to high.

Even though the Lamson Konic is kind of weak on the higher settings and is pressure cast than machined, I would rather see you with a Konic instead of the Albright.

Thanks guys, just made a great deal on a Konic 4 from the classifieds here.

Recent rains are hammering us down here on the Texas coast. Will probably change all the fish patterns in the bays. the river we've been chasing big gars is way up and not fun/safe to fish in. Can work on flies, leaders and practice casting. However I've always found better fishing after floods.
