    I caught this one today while goofing around with a new Woolly Bugger pattern.

    None taken. There aren't a lot of Trout this far down on the Yellowstone, so if I do catch any I definitely put them back.

    I would cast into the fast water and let out about 70 ft. of line and let the faster water bring my bugger into the seam and start stripping it back 6 inches at a time.


    I would also cast to the edge of the seam using the same stripping technique.

    That's one beautiful fish guy. I thought you were going to mail it.
    But if I may air a pet peeve of mine and some others I know (and I'm not telling you how to pose with your fish, that's your business). People who have their pictures taken (close up) with a fish and it's held out at arms length. Now I hope you don't take any offense, it just struck me when I looked at your pic. Boy does that dude have big hands.
