Great question. I have two aspirations for this year.

Utah- Provo in mid to late march

Alaska- Alganak in late July

Saving my money up now....

Frank I am planning on going to the Alganak lodge. May be beyond my means but I am scrambling to try and make it happen.

I'll fish the usual haunts:
North Platte
Colorado River
Roaring Fork/Frying Pan
San Juan
Delaney Lakes
Green River below Flaming Gorge and below Fontenelle

New this year:
Rock Creek
Big Horn
Gunnison
maybe get down to the Conejos
Hopefully get in some night fishing, meant to last year but time slipped away before I got out
If I have time left over then I want to try some carp fishing

We spent most of our time re-landscaping our yard last year from the end of March until just before the snow started to fall, so this year is dedicated to being back on the water as much as we can.

We have a few places to get re-aquainted with.....
1. A few overnighter's on the Southfork of the Snake. Anyone else interested?
2. The upper Green with Davo and Larry.
3. Trying out some new waters around Lebarge Wyoming.
4. Night fishing with Larry.
5. Hoppers and streamers on the Maddy.
6. In general just checking out southwestern Wyoming a little more.
7. Flay's on the Henry's Fork. (always a fun hatch)
8. Last but certainly not least, fishing for Steelhead on the Salmon River in Idaho during March, april and October.

Yea probably. They've done it before. :p
Davo usually has shorts on too, and his legs are not nearly as sexy as mine.

Already got the plans. Just need to plan the routes and days. Caravanning with friends from Ca. to Sheridan, WY to meet another friend. Rivers??? I think the friend in Sheridan will plan that part. Hope to meet up with Larry this trip.
Choices are head Northwest then turn east (Or, Id, Wy) or across desert I-15 then north.

Number one on the 2010 wishlist is Arrowhead Lake in RMNP. The hike in is a strenuous bushwhack up the head waters of the Big Thompson River to the junction of Gorge Lakes Creek. This trail passes Little Rock Lake and Rock Lake before coming to Arrowhead Lake. Further hiking takes you to Inkwell Lake and Azure Lake, and finally Highest Lake. All of these lakes are home to Colorado Greenback Cutthroat trout. Arrowhead Lake reportedly has the largest cutthroats some over 20"

Here's a pic from a nearby summit:

Yat: I think Trout Unlimited did a recent episode on Arrowhead Lake, it looked pretty interesting.

An 80 mile solo backpack round trip into the Thorofare.............Cutthroat heaven. Hopefully plan on getting 9 days to get there and back from Denver. Should be enough time. It will be tough to find enough room in my pack for the food I want to bring and a bottle of bacardi 151!!!
