  1. Default Streamers for the Arky.

Anyone here have streamer recommendations for the Arkansas River. We will be on the river early Oct up around Salida Co. Thanks!

    So many choices...

A lot will depend on flows, water clarity, sunny or dreary outside, fish movement, spawn runs, water temps... as you get closer to your trip date call Anglers Covey or Royal Gorge Anglers, they will set you right.

I would bring heavy, buggy, ugly flies in several color combinations. White, earth tones, blacks and purples.

There a big fish near Salida in a place called Vallie Bridge. Real certifiable toads!

Now thats what I'm talkin bout! Here at home the Buggers are pretty reliable. I always carry black, olive, white, purple and chartruse . I'm thinking maybe double bunnies and some zoo cougars or butt monkeys would be prime for the task. I'd rather catch one toad,as opposed to a dozen footers.
