Default Green river

Recently fished the Green river in Wyoming. Lots of browns, rainbows and cuts in the 15 to 17 inch range. Mostly nymphed with #16 Beadhead Prince. Also caught a few on a #22 Grey Midge dry in the mornings and in the evenings. Caught one on a #16 EHC, but didn't fish it that much.

Looks like a great trip, congrats! Were you camping at the Weeping Rock Campground?
Also, how is the weed situation doing? Last time I was down there it pretty much eliminated any nymph fishing.

I camped at Slate Creek. The weeds were very annoying, but not enough to keep me from nymph fishing. Had to clean or check my fly every two or three drifts. Just part of doing business I guess. It did get pretty frustrating at times first cleaning off my fly or leader, then before I could cast remove some weeds from my line, then from the leader again.

Sounds like the weed situation is getting a little better. Congrats again on a great trip. I don't know why, but I always like to stay at the Weeping Rock campground, I guess it is habit more than anything else.
