Got a little deer hunting trip and fishing in two weeks time... Will be doing some steelhead fishing and hopefully a little trout fishing...
Have no clue on steelhead.. but I understand it will be prime time on the Grande Ronde, Snake and Clearwater so probably take a trip down to Grande Ronde and do some nymphing.. Then maybe try the St Joe ... would like to go to north fork Clearwater but not sure as it will be quite a drive..
I'll be hunting near Pomeroy, WA and probably stay in Clarkston and plan day trips to fish...
If anyone has any advice it is welcome.. especially with regard to fly patterns and/or rigging.. I can't really justify buying another rod just for this trip.. so I'll have to make due with a 6wt.
