I'm going to Montana next week and the original plan was going to be to split time between the Bozeman, Missoula, and Glacier NP areas. Missoula is forecasted to be close to 100 degrees almost all week so I'm wondering what other areas would be good options that might be a little cooler. I live in Northern California and get more than enough 100 degree days at home. GNP is something we will definitely be doing and Bozeman area is a little cooler than Missoula so i still want to keep that as part of the plan. Maybe we should just spend a majority of our time fishing and exploring the Bozeman area more? Are places like Butte or Craig any cooler weather-wise and worth spending time in?
I'm mostly interested in the fishing and scenery. I'm joining my parents in their RV so locations and plans are flexible. I'm flying in to and out of Missoula so don't plan on venturing out too far past the Bozeman area.
I'm open to other suggestions as well!
