Had our annual float on the Colorado last weekend. It was a beautiful day. Fishing was a bit slow but enough action to satisfy everyone. Got some on nymphs then switched to streamers which was a blast. Got some nice flashes and strikes as well as a couple to the net. The last fish of the day was this brown who slammed the fly in some thin water among the rocks by the shore, right before the pull out.
My 8'6" Blue Halo 7wt performed beautifully, I love that rod.
I rounded the week out with an ascent of Longs Peak. An epic hike.
