any missouri river fishermen here, fishing the houser dam, wolf creek, craig area?? i am going to try some scuds here when it warms up above freezeing hopefully later this week with some new equipment.. dave

finnally caught first trout of the season on fly.. on the missouri with a scud in slow water near wolf creek.. the sluggish bright fish was no match for the new orvis number 2 large arbor reel.. it looks like the reel will be be able to handle any fish on this river.. except when taking into account operator error.. defintitly an upgrade from my older orvis rocky mountain 2... dave

Sounds like a great way to break in a reel! Hope you can keep that reel remembering what a fish feels like.

And we're all proud of you for braving the cold and getting out there to fish. Be safe around that frigid water too!
