Default How is the fishing in yellowstone and around cody

I'm new to the forum. I'm going to Cody Friday and i was wondering how the fishing is around Cody and Yellowstone? I know the flows are high and color is off. I hear the firehole and the Madison are good. has anyone been there and how was it? any info. would be great.

Hi Willard,

Welcome to the forum and welcome to Wyoming! I hope you enjoy your time in the park. I haven't been fishing the rivers around Cody as they are pretty well blown out. We are having a pretty wet spring as well. Never the less, fish need to feed.

Here is the latest fishing report from North Fork Anglers. Tim Wade's North Fork Anglers

You may want to give Chip or Tim a call at North Fork and see what they have to say.

Good luck!

Fishing is good all around the area, however, the Shoeshone River flows east out of Yellowstone and directly at Cody with some great fishing! Enjoy!!
