Ft Lauderdale help

My job is sending me to work in Ft Lauderdale for 3 weeks. I know freshwater bass fishing but want to get into salt/brackish water. I've got a TFO TiCr 8wt but dont have access to a boat so it'll be wading. Does anybody know anything about the area, species that will be active in mid September, and flies or techniques to try? Sorry for the ignorance but I'm a total newbie in Saltwater

Baitfish are making their annual mirgration south now, so I would use a 1-2/0 size mullet imitation in the surf for most anything. Now that Joachin has gone the surf is calming so it should be fun.
