    At first I was amazed that the guy stayed on the platform.

    Then I realized the pole probably slowed the shark down some and thus it didn't hit the boat nearly as hard as it otherwise would have.

    Then I thought the guide on the platform may have planned it that way, leading me to think this is a common occurrence that Bahamian guides are prepared for. (poles are cheaper than boats!)

    (just conclusions I jumped to, but it seems kinda likely)

    I'd rather hunt fish than bait deer any day.

    Having spent some time up on a poling platform I know I would have been kneeling down holding on to the edge of the platform!! Makes sense he was ready for the impact.
    My worst day on the water beats my best day anywhere else hands down!!
