Default Going to Rocky Point next month (line CHoice Question)

just fishing from shore and tooning around the rocks a bit.

    I've never been there before.

I'll be taking my 6 wt BVK and I have and 8 wt predator but I'm buying either an 8wt BVK or Axiom.

What kind of line would I be using most?

    Recommendations?

If it's the Rocky Point in RI, the amusement park and famous dining hall have been closed for 15 years, but they're just recently turning the area into a state park
