I know nothing about snook fishing, but you might be interested in listening to an episode on Ask About Fly Fishing Internet Radio on Snook Fishing by Norm Zeigler. Show Archive - Ask About Fly Fishing

My actual plan is to just fly fish from the shore for anything that will bite. But I guess what I wanted to know was if my gear was going to work if I did happen accross a nice snook cruising the surf. If I catch a sea trout or a snapper or anything at all it will be awsome. But I am going to bring my 8wt cause thats what I have. I use it for large and smallmouth bass here in eastern colorado/western nebraska. Thanks again for all the advice. As my trip gets closer I would just like to throw it out there that if anyone in the area would like to join me one morning and give me some pointers or just fish along with me I would be more than welcome to have ya. I'll bring some post fishing beers along.
