Thank you for your honesty!!! Not catching fish on XIls flats....????!!! THANK YOU! For those thinking that money and distance equal success. I appreciated sharing bad luck too!! Even more than guide's, salesman's written promo posts.
Keep writing abut your experience on the island.

And to us all, nothing to be ashamed to get skunked. Here and THERE. Sometimes or quite often :-)

I would love to make another trip...but I'm only interested in concentrating on Trevally related species as opposed to bonefish. Occasional bones sure but not as the primary focus.

There's Trevally to be had all the time on C.I.but you have to be prepared to target them and invest the proportionate time and effort, either in the lagoon or out in the blue water. All mine have been opportunistic catches incidental to Bonefishing.

The second trip I made to CI, I thought I had assurances from the outfitters that I could concentrate on Trevally...instead it was the same "routine"...focus on bones and incidental Trevally as opportunistic.

I'd gladly give up numbers of bones for shots at Trevally, but can't seem to get guides/outfitters to understand.
