This is good news, perhaps they will re-instigate the need for a license in the future, just make it easy to acquire like they have in Belize. I don’t think any one begrudges purchasing a fairly priced license.

In the past I've arranged for the driver who picks me up at the airport to get the fishing licenses before I arrive. While this has worked out well, I don't expect him to do it for free so what I pay him in "service fee" adds on to the licence fee and the entire process is a collective nuisance. Other countries manage to have an online method of traveling anglers getting a license, I suspect the Bahamians could hire some IT person to figure it out for them as well. Then again, having flown BahamasAir, maybe I'm expecting far too much...
