What are the target species of most of these flies? I'm going to assume Tarpon, Roosters, etc.

That's a good looking box. I have been recently mulling a trip to cabo and have it mentally earmarked for next year or 2021. What weight rod will you use to sling those flies?

    Marty,

I use the Loomis NRX 12 wt rods.

Marty the action is in Loreto-Not Cobo. Loreto is 1/4 the price of Cobo and has all the fish. Check out my trip report in Mexico fishing reports-CB

Thanks for the reminder! Those look like pictures out of my dreams (minus you, of course ). I have been looking at a little community called La Ribera up the peninsula from Cabo. It caught my attention because it appears to be fairly sparsely populated, with good opportunities to rent a house and fish right off the beach. My trips usually involve perhaps one day with a guide and DIY the rest of the time - I find that I really enjoy trying to figure things out on my own. Are there good opportunities to hook into roosters and mahi off the beach around Loreto? Friendly locals?

You could catch a few small roosters off the beach and the people in Loreto are great....No Dorado off the beach or Bill fish. CB
