    Re: Small stream Stories and Pictures;

    This is from a couple weeks ago. A spot close to home on the Tunkhannock Creeek called Little Rocky Glen. People swim here in the summer and jump from the cliffs.. though it's not a smart idea....

    Re: Small stream Stories and Pictures;

    This was from the last day of trout season here in NEPA. This is a section of fly fishing only waters that I frequent as it's not too far out of the way, on my way home from work. The week before I...

  10. Re: How often do you tie a knot when tying your flies?

    Fairly often. Like others have said, while using the rotating function (reverse winding ribbing wire) and at times in between steps or layers, when I don't want thread wraps to loose tension. For...

    Re: What have you been tying today?

    Last night's efforts. I wasn't satisfied with how my last sculpin swam when I tested it. I assumed these helmets were designed to have the hook ride point-up, but it didn't. Maybe I used the wrong...
  14. Re: SA Anadro and Orvis Recon 8wt: 7 or 8?

    I've got the SA Anadro (7 wt) that I use on my 7 wt Recon (not exclusively... I also use an integrated shooting line for launching much larger streamers) and I think it casts very well. It's a heavy...

    Re: What Did You Buy Today?

    ^Love my Battenkill 5/6. I should try to find a spare spool, if not a whole backup for it.

    Feather and Fuzzy Fiber gamechanger. Guy at the shop recommended this hook but I think I'd prefer a size heavier and something with a slightly longer shank. Got cramped quick. I don't know what I'm...

    Re: What have you been tying today?

    Re: What have you been tying today?

    All of my largest bass and pike last year, that weren't caught on the fly rod, were caught on a Yamamoto's Flappin Hog. Rigged Texas or Carolina style, it's one of my go-to rigs with my spinning rod....
