I don't recall Sage making a 595 XP, a 596 ( 9' 6" - 5 weight ) yes. Is this a typo or did someone snap an inch off the tip or cut an inch off the butt and call it a custom build?

Listen to your old uncle Dave and he'll save you all kind of time trying to get an education in rod design. Easiest way, contact some of these folks, tell them what you want and ask for prototypes....
