    Re: ID on a rod

I can't read the script, it appears to start with the letter C. The insert looks like a really nice Amboina Burl. Reel is Hardy Angel, good taste all round.

    Quite welcome :)

The components are not exactly cheap but then neither is a decent 2 hand rod and reel therefore I'm going to guess your not thinking along these lines as a way to save money. I've...

    Hi Quade,

I do hope you can view and read this on a computer screen. I receive things via cell phone and can tell you that a 4.5 inch screen isn't gonna cut it in many cases..........

I'm no taxonomy expert but would venture to say both are from Loch Leven back grounds. I never owned a digital camera when I lived in brown trout country and so have almost zero photos of the Von...

Maybe take a look to see if you can find the recipe for the Rail Bird, look in Bates's books if you have them. It's probably online too but I think Bates printed the original, I'd like to see what...

Re: Renzetti Traveler Vice Saltwater vs Regular

What will you use it for primarily?

If you live along the coast I'd buy a vise claiming to be a Saltwater vise otherwise I'd buy one like I own and use it. I've held hooks from #20 dry fly wire...
