    Re: Tent rain barrier ?

I have a similar Eureka tent. Forget the name.
I find it necessary to apply seam sealer to the seams of the fly every year, but other than that, it will not leak.
I've never felt the need to use...

Re: Out Gunned - Bad Feeling

I fished salt water 18 years will Medalists reels before I got my first disk drag. Back then a lot of other people did too.

  7. Re: What do I need to change fly line at home?

I have a hand crafted line winder, but I'm just as likely to use a pencil

First thing that you do is take off your shoes ;)
Put the reel on the rod and run the line through at least 2 guides. (...

35 years ago I up-graded to a Thompson Pro. A model that most people would consider to be a "beginner's vice".
    Still use it.

I've used it on sneakers a number of times.
Use e6000 glue. I reattached the felts on my bootfoots just recently and it worked great.

That's a post war, Japanese mass produced rod.

Bunker are a good 10-12 inches
My go-to fly is an 2/0, 8" yellow deceiver. You really don't have to go much larger than that.
