Re: Question about fly line maintenance

Although a 'dirty' fly line in our waters is a pretty rare thing .. lake fishing can be a different ball game. As S&S notes the removal of 'dirt' is the key. More this or that to finish up, with the...

Thumbs up Fishing in a cold rain (snow's fall is cool) + a good read.

Proper rain gear is a must for most of you but too many make 'wrong choices' as to 'what.' Great place to buy 'stuff' but this is one product I'll take a pass. How To Dress For Winter Fly Fishing...

Thumbs up Re: Cutthroat furled leaders

Only thing to the above comments by Mike is do have him put a 'tippet ring' on the things. Makes changing out that bit a total breeze.:fishing: Just my .02 cents but prefer this to the loop to loop...

Re: Cutthroat furled leaders

Length of a furled leader + tippet (just in my HO) is pretty much dictated by the length of the rod and the size of the fly (add weighted or not to that). With a rod that short (again this is just a...

Re: Boot foot with support ?

A bit 'clunkie' to insert/use but got some full foot inserts, any shoe store/repair shop probably has them. The 'just under the arch' is a total looser IMHO!

Re: Whatcha got cooking?

'Welcome to the Dark Side of Cooking.' Cast iron, save for boiling water, is the ONLY way to properly cook. Only cook ware I know of that will last over a 100+ years and be 'good to go' if properly...

Re: Get a Grip

+1 here.

Rest of me is 'normal' (no one touch that!) but smaller hands. All my custom rods (and a couple that weren't) had to have the cork cut back lathing work with sand paper.

My first 'try' at fishing yesterday PM ... a disaster.

Early last December my body just folded up for the first time, of three, in the month. The last one I was tossed into intensive care for the...
