    Re: Summer weight fishing gloves

I have used the Bass Pro (World Sportsman) fingerless gloves with the faux suede palm and I like them well enough. They do have unlined as well. They protect the hands from the sun and that's what...

I and members of the FF Club I belong to have adopted the High Sierra 36 inch rolling duffle bag as the official bag. It has a lower bottom where you can store your boots and waders. The upper...
  3. Re: Orvis Helios H2 tip flex as a nymphing rod

I don't fish with a euro nymphing outfit but I think you have tip flex confused with the softer tip of a euro rod. A tip flex in a normal rod such as your H2 is for accuracy and fine speed. The soft...

Re: Misplaced, Forgotten, Lost or stolen

Make a list of everything you must have and then seal it with self-sealing laminating plastic, then leave it somewhere you won't lose it. Just kidding, put it in your bag that you always use for...
  9. Re: The Asians are coming, the Asians are coming

My understanding is the Asian Carp are plankton feeders. Last year in a lake near St. Louis they netted them because they had made the lake practically unusable to boaters. There is a movement along...

I have used guides 6 or 7 times in my life. All out of state and mostly for fishing the salt. I had no experience and live in Missouri so fishing the Everglades and Keys was an experience I wanted....

  13. Re: Dumb Question about TFO Pro Special Rods

I wouldn't think that the 5 and 8 weight parts would fit but what do I know? Try them with a five weight line. If it works your good to go.

  14. Re: White River Fly Shop Dogwood Canyon Fly Reel

Going back to the Liquid. You can buy a pack that contains the reel with spool and to spare spools for around $179.00. That brings your price down to the cost of the Dogwood Canyon reel.

Re: Bass Pro/Cabelas is now Orvis dealer?

I believe that Orvis built a rod that had the BP logo on it a few years back. I cast it next to a St. Croix Imperial, both 4 weights and preferred the Bass Pro rod.
