Gear- 7wt Orvis Recon, Bauer Rogue with Orvis bonefish line. It is basically the same line as the recently discontinued carp line. O-1x 9' leader.

Where i tend to fish, a 6wt would be under sized...

Something that is a bit stiffer is better for the health of the fish if you plan on releasing them. Just because large fish can be landed on lighter rods, it isnt always a good idea.
