Re: Found a Sage Rod on the Green River

Hopefully this is not a sign of something happening to the owner. Hate to ask but is anyone missing in that area?

Hope the rod gets returned and all is well!

Guilty! Size 18 Rainbow Warrior. Problem is I finished the fly before realizing my crude blunder.

    Re: Carp rods

I've got one 8 weight which is a Scott Meridian. My Steelhead, Salmon and LM Bass rod. Also works great for carp. For an 8 weight the lightness in hand is surprising.

    Re: mono vs fluoro

Hi Grizz-what style are you going to be fishing? Nymphs, streamers?

This is an example of how I rig mine:

Dry flies-tapered leaders 4X and lighter, if I need to add a tippet it's 3 or 4 pound...

    Re: mono vs fluoro

Hi osseous, I have not as of yet pulled the knot to failure on my bass set up, the hook straightens out first when pulling it off a snag. That Maxima Chameleon 15# is pretty tough line. I've found it...

In speaking of connecting fluoro to mono this is what works for me.

Yes, a 5X or a 6X tippet is all I have used on my 3 weight, just be mindful of your hook sets. On the strike, just lift your rod tip, with sharp hooks the fish will make the hook set itself. Just my...
