I guess one of the questions is, how green is the local cane you're going to use or is it dried/cured otherwise? Knowing how long it takes to make bamboo rods, not sure putting all the time...

I got interested in tying over 30 years ago when I lived in Michigan fly fishing, fishing the AuSable and Sturgeon River you learned you needed to tie your own.

I learned a trick with Chap-Stick years ago that works great for lubricating a knot before clinching it tight. I use Chap-stick during the winter fishing months and found out if you slide your tippet...
