Yet another Caddis
I picked up a copy of the British Magazine Fly Fishing and Fly Tying a few days ago. They had a cool caddis pattern that I wanted to tie but then I misplaced the thing and tied from memory. I missed a bit of dubbing on the head but they turned out very close anyway. They were supposed to be tied with V-Rib but I couldn't find any in the correct colour so I used some swannundaze I had in my desk.
They are tied with the Czech style underbody, then a dubbed body of hares ear with the ribbing over top. Leave slight gaps between the ribbing to let the dubbing poke through.

Hi Kerry,

That is a nice tye. I don't think the V-Rib would look any better.

Thank you.
I was wondering about that Frank. Thought I might pick some up today just to see, but I like the effect of the swannundaze so I may just leave the pattern as is.

Re: Yet another Caddis
I try and find as many kinds of barbless as I can, squashing them is the other alternative but I am finding more barbless styles all of the time.:)
