Mouse Pattern
This is my first attempt at Jack Gartsides Coypu Mouse pattern, I used Nutria fur and tied in a short tail using black flex floss. Jimmie pointed out the pattern and I thought it would be an excellent use for Nutria fur because of the long guard hairs and thick under fur.

Re: Mouse Pattern
I love it! I've got some Nutrina but its darker, will have to try it. I always used leather shoe lace for my tails. I like yours though...good stuff. Thanks for sharing this one.

Re: Mouse Pattern
Thanks guys!

futuramille: The picture is slightly over exposed. My Nutria is darker than the picture, but I intentionally cut strips where the guard hair was the longest and it tends to be a lighter tan color. Great idea about using leather shoe I need to make a run to the grocery store!

Opps, I meant to add a link to Jack Gartside's pattern for others to give it a try. As you can see his mouse is darker, probably more true color. I'm just not very good with the camera.

Nice mouse Larry. Very ironic making a mouse fly out of a giant Louisiana swamp rat.

Re: Mouse Pattern
That's awesome Larry.
I tried tying one but it didn't turn out half as good as yours. Maybe the strips are too wide on mine????
