    Hmm, color me a bit skeptical on that point... but let me know how it works out.

    I fish some small emerger patterns with thread bodies and CDC wings, and they float well enough... until a trout grabs them once.

    To me that GLF Sparkle Emerger body is a lot to try and hold up top (having fished them previously with deer or elk hair wings).

    What I do
    After a fish take I rinse the fly in the water and using amadou to remove the water from the fly. Then I change to a new fly for letting the rinsed fly dry.
    So I always have minimum 2 of the fly with me.
    The best CDC is the natural one with no coloring. There are also some CDC oil to buy for preparing the material.
