Thread: Hot Creek caddis parachute emerger

  1. Default Hot Creek caddis parachute emerger

Saw an interesting caddis emerger on Davie McPhail's you-tube channel called the grannom emerger. So did a variant on my Hot Creek caddis pattern on a #18 buzzer hook

    Thread ; Uni 8/0 gray
    Post: gray antron
tie in parachute hackle: Whiting Hebert-Miner Dun
    abdomen: adams gray dubbing
    rib: small Lartargun oval tinsel
rear pointing fibers on each side of post: teal body
    thorax: ice dub UV black
finish parachute hackle and then whip
Drop of UV epoxy on post to angle it forward at 45 degrees
    Done!

    What do you folks think?

Can't remember I am afraid as I got them many years ago to tie weighted scuds/gammarus patterns. Just liked the bend in them for scuds.

My plan exactly !! Tell you what, I swap a few for some of your lovely little nymphs, which I know will be very productive when I fish Owens/Walker/Hot first week in June!
