My tying skills are pretty basic. I am going to guess you tie in the white Z-lon (a guess) at the head and finish than push the bead over it , than re start behind ? Also , is there red thread like a trim wrap on the one with the white head ?

I usually tie in the breathers up front then slide the bead to the eye and then just make a wrap behind the bead. No need to tie off any thread and then restart the thread.

Fish, nicely done. I particularly like how you've met the diameter of the bead, I just feel it gives the fly a sleeker look.

All these 'pretty' patterns....makes me miss fishing BC North and interior. LOVED using Chrons for rainbow, grayling and whitefish.

AND, they're so simple to tie!

I am originally from BC and never stop thinking about the chironomid action I had their. I head to BC every summer to fish,
