I like the perspective on the photo of the brown, it makes the fish's eyes look just like the eyes on the fly I have yet to catch a trout on my fly rod, but I will certainly be trying this fall!

What do you use to construct the head on the "little rainbow" streamer? Is it weighted? Great looking little fly.

Kelly,thanks

gatortransplant, fall is great time of year for fly fishing, specially for dry flies and streamers...nights get cold and there is no hatching over night so fish must eat during the day ...first Sun dry out morning dew and with dew gone insects can fly...and show begin

Dean, head and body of that streamer is white tread covered with epoxy ,head have epoxy eyes too....I didnt put any weight in it because it is easier to cast and I dont need that streamer to sink more than few inches ...few inches is enough in shallow and clear water ..if trout is in mode of eating small fish it can see the streamer from one bank to another ..and go for it

Mladen, I bet that fly would be killer for the little stockers that I was fishing for the other day in Louisville. They were busy eating a marabou jig that looked similar, one which I'm going to try to tie in a beadhead style instead. I also like how my last comment on this thread was from late September and I hadn't caught a trout on the fly yet. It's amazing how little time I've actually been fly fishing... I've definitely caught the trout now though!

Hi A.J.
I dont know what to say except you should try them. When you put eyes right this streamer of mine will not turn to the side or twist...They are good for jigging and I love when I can do it with fly rod...quick up and slow down...
Glad to hear that you are catching trout

LOVE IT. It is very much like a Briminator to me. I know this will catch fish, no doubt about it.

This is the Briminator. It is a wonderful pattern, especially for bream. But I have caught other species on it too!
