I've been using this fly a lot this season with the seemingly never ending rain keeping the river levels high. With a buoyant foam body and synthetic wing that sheds water all day long this a great fly for fishing when you need to use a heavy nymph in a duo. The Power Lifter will easily suspend a 3-4mm tungsten bead nymph in fast flowing rough water when river levels are high and allow the duo to be cast on a 3wt rod. If you like to experiment and tie some new effective patterns, take a look at some of the other tying videos on my channel.

Thanks for watching.

Very clever dry fly Nick - looks perfect for heavy water via a dry/dropper. I love that you used Organza......I tie some flies with that as well.....I'll sometimes "twist" the organza strip after tying it in to try to get it more spiky looking. Thanks for the video.
