    It is like a dubbing loop. I use serafil thread which have 2 cordels.
    I twist the thread anti clockwise between my thumb and index finger.
    The I place my scissor between the splittet thread and place the loop on my finger. Then I place the materials inn the loop and turn my bobbin clockwise to lock the materials.
    You can also do this with normal thread that will flatten. Splitt the thread with a needle.

    btw. It is also very nice to add dubbing on the loop. Just add wax to the open cordells and touch dubb. Then twist the bobbin around and the dubbing is applied to the thread.
