Body fly: chenille (burned)
Wing : TMC aero dry wing
CDC

Bind in the chenille and make a loop off the aero dry wing

Split the loop with a scissor

Make some 8 turns to stabilize the wings

Split the thread and place CDC and twist

Finished fly

Looks great, Tob1. Is the chenille made from two pieces glued together in a twist? If so, which glue do you use to bind them? Love the burned tip.

Hi. Thanks for the comments :)
It is no glue that hold the chenille together only the heat from the flame.
Do not impregnate the yarn before you do the heating - it may easily take fire.

Is this fly intended to be fished dry? I'm curious if the chenille will soak up water and make the fly sink like a rock?

This type off chenille do not absorb water (it have been prepared with some floatant). :) Some floatant is very flammable so melt down the chenille before you treat it with some floatant.
