    Very well done, as thin as the quill is I'm guessing stripped peacock.

    Thank you all.
    JB is right, the body of the thread. A thread is in the form of strips and is very similar to the peacock quill.. Synthetics and does not absorb water. I have it in several colors, good for the body caddis and stonefly.

    One advice, wherever you look you can find something good for tying some of his flies.

    Dan, it is a synthetic thread. PVC or so, I have it in different colors.
