    Has anyone tested this.

THEY WORK and that is the truth. My eyes are going and I still fish #30's......IT WORKS. You can drop the fly and it lands right where it needs to be.
BUT, bead heads must be placed like in the picture as the other way, the bead blocks the canal.

That looks interesting. Joni: Have you tried it with a midge pattern that has material sticking out past the hook eye, for example the Rojo Midge?

They work. I 've been using it since FG posted about a year ago. It's saved me from some frustrating moments.........

+1 for the bad eyes, especially at dawn/dusk. Time to find one of these.

    Hi Everyone,

There seems to be two of them on the Market. One is called the Magnetic Fly Threader. The other is called the 20/20 Magnetic Fly Threader. I don't know if they are from the same company but the Magnetic Fly Threader is $10 more than the 20/20. Which one are you using?

I have the 20/20 one. I recognize that peculiar black clip.

    Joni,

This topic has been discussed before in another thread, but I don't recall if I asked you your experience in using this threader device on really small flies, i.e., 22+. Like I said earlier, it's a super help, but I've had problems using it on these really small flies. Be interested in your experience.
On the whole, I'd rather be in Wyoming . . .
