It is cool that a forum has a 6 page thread participating in the development of a member's new product.

Got that right! If they choose my suggestions:

    Copper/Blue or

    burnt orange/Olive...

I will only need comp'd 1 (or 1 of each for my design time)

Clearly a joke but it is neat that we get to participate!

I'll be giving my opinion of the new product in about three weeks!

Oh i like that cooper and olive option.

I almost wanted to say white, because i cant think of a single white reel ever...but it would show dirt way to much. probably not good for what we do with them.

Think you guys have done a great job with your colors as is.
Me, I love a good deep forest green, midnight blue (something that looks almost black in the shadows but in light is a bright deep blue), tangelo (for a different orange), Burnt Umber, or something that would be awesome would be where the cage and outside of the spool are one color and the inside of the spool is another (similar to the G.Loomis Current Model 78). Maybe even do a limited edition one, black outside, pink inside for Breast Cancer (I would buy that).

Kind of off topic here but am looking at picking up the Allen Icon 10' 5WT and a reel to match. I am 100% completely sold on the reel but am going back and forth on the rod as I have never had the opportunity to cast one. Does anyone own a Icon 5WT that can shed light on action and how it compares to a Hardy or Sage or Orivis or Scott?

    Justin,
Can you post a few pics with different views? From what I can see, it's very nice looking.

Colors?....I think a flat gray or bead blasted finish would look fantastic, prefer a muted or dull finish myself.

Oh, and a large drag knob with closely spaced detents for fine drag tuneability. Thanks
