Reds near rockport TX

So I have my second trip for 2014 in the planning stages. One of my navy buddies wants me to visit and go fishing for reds near Rockport/Corpus Christi Texas next November. We are looking at early november and I was hoping some of you out there might give me some insite on what to expect. I'm taking an 8 and a 9 wt with me. Maybe even a 6 just for fun. Anything would be great. Thanks.

Bring a shotgun. In November the duck hunting can be great. Redheads in the morning, redfish in the afternoon. Unless you buddy's set up for it I'd look at hiring a guide for the morning shoot as lots of dekes are involved.
